April Pence is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL) from the United States, with a Masters degree in Counseling from RTS-Orlando. She has lived in Vietnam for more than 5 years and has been a counselor since 2006. April works primarily with women dealing with a variety of issues, ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural adjustment problems, recovery from abuse (i.e. sexual, verbal, physical, emotional and spiritual), relationship problems, family of origin issues, attachment concerns and spirituality issues.
With compassion and a trauma informed approach, April walks with her clients toward a better understanding of unwanted behaviors. She is able to create the safe environment necessary for growth and healing, while collaborating with the client in working toward their goals for change. She is trained in EMDR (level 1 & 2 completed), versed in the Enneagram and will tailor each client’s treatment plan to meet their specific needs and goals.
